Hydrating Watermelon Feta Salad with Mint, Lime, and Jalepeño
When temperatures rise, staying hydrated becomes more important than ever. While water is essential, certain foods can also contribute to your hydration goals. This Watermelon Feta Mint Salad is one of my favorite summer recipes because it combines refreshing flavor with nutrients that support hydration and electrolyte balance.
Watermelon is made up of more than 90% water, making it one of the most hydrating fruits you can eat. It also contains potassium, an important electrolyte that helps support fluid balance, muscle function, and nerve signaling.
Adding feta cheese brings a salty contrast to the sweet watermelon while also contributing calcium and sodium. Sodium is another electrolyte that plays a role in maintaining fluid balance, especially during hot weather when we lose fluids through sweat.
Fresh mint and lime brighten every bite, while pistachios add satisfying crunch along with healthy fats, fiber, and plant-based protein. The result is a simple salad that feels elevated enough for entertaining but easy enough for a weekday lunch.
